✅ Description:
Trevox Ear Drop is a topical antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye. It helps relieve symptoms by inhibiting the growth and spread of infection-causing bacteria.
Trevox contains Levofloxacin, which exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. This prevents bacterial DNA replication and repair, ultimately leading to bacterial cell death.

General Instructions:
- For external (ophthalmic) use only
- Follow the prescribed dose and duration strictly
Adult Dose (Bacterial Conjunctivitis):
- Days 1–2: 1–2 drops every 2 hours (up to 8 times daily)
- Days 3–7: 1–2 drops every 4 hours (up to 4 times daily)
Pediatric Dose:
- ≥1 year: Same as adult dosing
- <1 year: Use only if prescribed by a physician
How to Apply:
- Wash hands before use
- Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it
- Instill drops into the lower eyelid
- Wipe off excess solution

- May enhance QT interval prolongation when used with antiarrhythmic drugs (e.g., quinidine, amiodarone)
- Reduced effectiveness with antacids or supplements containing magnesium, aluminium, calcium, zinc, or iron
- Increased risk of tendon disorders when combined with corticosteroids
- May alter blood glucose when used with antidiabetic medications
- Increased bleeding risk with warfarin
